To keep my mind open I constantly empty it by meditation. I sit there and try to think of nothing. Every time my mind wanders, I try to catch myself and blank out again. I'm not the biggest fan of meditation (actually I was quite hesitant) but I find that ever since I started, my mind is sharper, more efficient and creative. I feel that when we empty our minds, our brains have more computing power.
